heart

Iceberg

The liquid mind

Cannot get through the keyhole;

It traps me inside the room.

I am surrounded by water;

Trying to come to terms

With the annihilated past

And the acid tears

That weren’t mine.

I am an iceberg

And my melted heart

Is sinking this Titanic

With you

And everybody else on board.

It’s getting cold;

My eyes are closing on their own,

Not giving me a chance to understand.

I go under.

I will remain,

Creating ripples on the water surface,

Melting the last of it,

The last of me.

One

Fingers sliding between the ribs,

I feel you reaching out

To the broken and worn out

Me.

Trying to re-ignite the frozen engine

You crush the bones,

Not knowing that

The moment your lips touched mine

I surrendered my breath and soul

To you.

Take the heart

And keep it as yours.

Let it beat in tact with your thoughts,

Let my fate be you

And us become one.

Precious

The silver mirrors

Have stopped showing my face;

Instead I see sapphires in my eyes.

I see the biggest heart

Pumping warm blood,

Crucified soul

That has been resurrected

By the sweet kiss of redemption.

The sacred union,

The perfect symbiosis of souls.

The hand that helped me open my eyes,

Offering the life,

Offering the love.

I long to merge into one,

Into the precious eyes

That see the world for what it is,

That will be a part of us,

Knowing the real human feelings.

A part of you,

A part of me;

Love.

My worst enemy

Withering smiles,
The sunset  of my future.
I keep watching the wind
Taking the essence
Of what I am and used to be.
Pour the memories
Over my eyes;
It’s not tears,
Just the wind,
Cold wind.
I always tear up
When the wind is cold.
Your hands are the cello notes
That squeeze my heart
Every time the melody
Touches my ears.
I keep walking towards
The edge of the abyss
That tries to engulf me
With every touch,
Every look.
I end up being
My worst enemy,
Engaging into a fight with myself
Without a chance to win.
Sinking in the bog
Of my past,
Of your past.
So shift the gears,
Let the engine ignite.
And if it stalls,
I’d be the brake
That never works.
As always…

Unchain

Take your face off,

Let me see you.

Stop hiding and

Let me feel the warmth

Of your presence next to me

Under this weak sunlight.

Release your eyes

From the point you’ve been

Staring at.

Air waves expose your tremors

And the anxious heart

That is about to forget peace.

Bare your teeth,

Cross the ropes,

And enter my realm.

Unchain yourself.

Unchain me.

Just.

One.

More.

Step.

No more you

Sew your lips together

So noone can hear you scream,

The only thing to see will be a crooked smile.

Freeze your heart

So you can’t feel any pain,

No more warmth will radiate from your presence.

Let the soul leak out of your bleak eyes

And make everything around gray,

All that’s left will be emptiness.

Refuse the last straw of help

Push the hand away,

Keep telling yourself that lonely means free.

No more pressure,

No more danger,

No more pain,

No.

More.

You.

Too. Much.

I detach your smile from myself.

The sunlight of yesterday is falling out

Of the eyes wet from tears.

Swinging left and right, back and forth…

It’s making me light-headed.

Drums in the head are beating the rhythm of your steps

As you come closer;

I’m convulsively searching for the words to say,

But the play room of my brain is in too big of a mess

To find the right mask.

I get lost.

So insecure.

Nothing to hide behind.

You see me as I am,

Silently staring at you in confusion.

I lost. The layer is down.

Too. Much. Of. Me.
